Born and raised in a small town in Northern California. I attended Catholic grammar school. My mother was an operating head scrub nurse so I was exposed to nursing at a young age and developed a great love and deep sense of personal satisfaction by caring for others.. Attended Yuba Community College Marysville, Ca. in 1973 and obtained LVN licensure. I worked in a variety of settings including critical care, cardiac ICU, medical surgical and emergency room for many years before attending the University of Saint Francis and earning Bachelors of Science degree.
Always working full time and single mother to a beautiful daughter, I continued my education over the years becoming certified in oncology, stem cell transplantation and case management, providing transitional care to cancer patients. Awarded Scottsdale Healthcare Excellence in Nursing Leadership award 2007,Saturn Nurse of the month award, Scottsdale Healthcare November 1997 Interim Healthcare nurse of the year award 1991.
Having worked as transitional care nurse/manager in home health for 18 years , I have in depth insight and experience in meeting medical care needs throughout the valley.
Attending the University of Phoenix, I obtained my Master of Science degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner in January 2014.
My husband of 25 years and I have resided in the lovely state of Arizona for the past 19 years. We have 2 beautiful grandchildren and 2 Himalayan Persian cats. We love to ride our motorcycle in our spare time.
