Women's Health
Women's health is an area of medicine that focuses on conditions and issues specific to women throughout their lives. This includes everything from general health care to more specific concerns related to reproduction and female organs. Women’s health care providers, like gynecologists, manage things like menstrual health, birth control, pregnancy, and menopause. We also focus on preventing and treating diseases that primarily affect women, such as breast cancer and cervical cancer. Additionally, women's health includes education on healthy living, such as diet, exercise, and managing stress, to support overall well-being at every stage of a woman’s life.
Services include:
Routine gynecological exams
Breast cancer screenings and mammograms
Reproductive and fertility services
Hormone management
Menopause management and support
Osteoporosis screening and treatment
Our Women’s Health services include annual wellness exams, family planning, prenatal care, menopause management, cervical cancer screenings (Pap tests), breast cancer screenings (mammograms), and treatment for gynecological conditions such as PCOS and endometriosis.
We recommend starting annual mammogram screenings at age 40. However, if you have a family history of breast cancer or other risk factors, we may advise starting earlier. Please consult with your healthcare provider to determine the best screening schedule for you.
Current guidelines suggest that women aged 21 to 65 should have a Pap smear every three years. Women over 30 may choose to have a Pap smear every five years if combined with HPV testing. These recommendations can vary based on individual health history and risk factors.
